JUSTIN BIEBER RECRUITS LIL WAYNE FOR NEW ALBUM

First it was Ludacris ** on "Baby." Then Kanye West ** remixed his "My World 2.0" track "Runaway Love" with Raekwon **. Then, just when we thought he wasn't going to ask Busta Rhymes ** to be on his version of "Little Drummer Boy," he did just that. Now, pop superstar and "Otis" freestyler ** Justin Bieber ** is turning his collaborative efforts toward another star rapper: Lil Wayne **. Bieber, who is working hard on a forthcoming full-length titled "Believe," posted on Twitter [Link] on Wednesday (Feb. 1) that he had shared some studio time with the Cash Money superstar: "Good time in the studio last night. back at it tonight. oh yeah...and big bro came thru… and when i say big bro i mean @LilTunechi. #BELIEVE IT." He also posted a pair of photos of Wayne and himself kicking it at a skate park -- the black-and-white shots either depict Mr. Carter giving the Biebs some fatherly music advice, or teaching the youngster how to do a kickflip. Last month, Bieber announced on Twitter that he had started recording "Believe," which follows "Under The Mistletoe," a full-length Christmas effort that gave the teen star his third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 last November. Over the past week, Bieber has also worked with songwriter Sean Garrett ( Usher **, Chris Brown **) as well as Timbaland **, who helped craft a classic Justin Timberlake ** album, "FutureSex/Lovesounds," in 2006. Meanwhile, Lil Wayne just pushed out a music video for his "Carter IV" single "Mirror" on Tuesday, and is polishing his next full-length, "I Am Not a Human Being 2," for an expected summer release. The wise, world-weary Wayne is also serving as a mentor to another teen artist, Young Money rapper Lil Twist, who is prepping his own debut album, "Don't Get It Twisted."
