NYC IS NOT THE ONLY CITY WITH THIS PROBLEM. AMERICA IS HURTING AND THE RICH WOULD RATHER HELP OTHER COUNTRIES THAN THOSE IN NEED RIGHT HERE!

WE HAVE PEOPLE/FAMILIES RIGHT HERE IN AMERICA THAT ARE IN NEED, BUT MOST WEALTHY PEOPLE WOULD RATHER DONATE TO OTHER COUNTRIES. THERE IS A FALSE SENSE WE HAVE THAT THE USA IS BIG BROTHER TO THE WORLD... LOL. THERE ARE QUITE A FEW OTHER PLACES AROUND THE WORLD THAT ARE BETTER OFF THAN AMERICA, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY IF MY BROTHER WAS HUNGRY AND IN NEED; YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT I WOULD FEED HIM BEFORE ANYONE ELSE, SO IF AMERICA HAS STARVING PEOPLE WHY WOULD I OVER LOOK THEM TO HELP ANOTHER COUNTRY?

A MUST SEE FOR ALL.... IS COLLEGE OVERRATED OR THE SYSTEM BEHIND IT? I ENJOYED COLLEGE...

@BLACKMUSIC365 ARTIST OF THE DAY: "TEDDY RILEY"

In 1987, Riley, Aaron Hall, and Timmy Gatling formed the R&B group Guy. Managed by Gene Griffin, Riley's work with Guy pioneered the New Jack Swing style of R&B, which had been showcased previously in Riley's productions for Johnny Kemp ("Just Got Paid"), Bobby Brown ("My Prerogative"), and Keith Sweat (Make It Last Forever), among others. Riley infused his own unique blend of hip-hop beats, R&B progressions and the Gospel vocal stylings of Hall to create the archetypal New jack swing sound on Guy's eponymous debut, which was much emulated in the immediate years that followed. In 1989, Riley produced Big Daddy Kane's "I Get The Job Done", as well as other work for The Jacksons, The Winans, Today, James Ingram; he is also credited with a highly successful remix of Jane Child's "Don't Wanna Fall in Love."

After the release and tour of Guy's second album The Future, Riley co-produced half of Michael Jackson's album Dangerous, on the recommendation of Jackson's long-time producer Quincy Jones. Featuring the Riley co-produced singles "Remember the Time", "Jam", and "In the Closet", Dangerous remains the most successful New jack swing album of all time with 32 million copies sold.[7][8]

After the disbandment of Guy in 1992, Riley moved to production, performance on and promotion of Wreckx-N-Effect's second album Hard or Smooth. Based in Virginia by this time, Riley discovered The Neptunes who assisted production on Wreckx-N-Effect's smash hit single Rump Shaker.

In late 1992, Riley formed a second group, Blackstreet, with Chauncey Hannibal as lead singer. The group would go on to release several major hits, including "Don't Leave Me" (1997), the number one single "No Diggity" (1996, featuring Dr. Dre and Queen Pen), and "Girlfriend/Boyfriend" (1999, with Janet Jackson, Eve, and Ja Rule). By 2011, the group had disbanded and reformed several times.

In 2000, Riley worked on an album with Outsiderz 4 Life, producing "Wil' Out" and other songs.

At the start of 2006, he was part of the New Jack Reunion Tour, featuring Blackstreet and Guy, in addition to After 7, SWV, and Tony Toni Toné. In May 2006 Riley announced that he would be working on two key projects: a new Blackstreet album and a new Guy album.

In June 2008, a fire destroyed Riley's Virginia Beach recording studio. Fire investigators said that an electrical problem caused the blaze that burned the abandoned recording studio. The Virginia Beach Fire Department said lightning in the area also could have been a factor, although there was no direct strike. The empty studio was for sale and was insured for $336,000.[9]

In 2009, Riley performed with Guy at the BET Awards.[10] In the same year, Riley worked with Amerie and Robin Thicke on their respective albums. Leading on from his work on Snoop Dogg's album Ego Trippin' Riley became part of the production supergroup QDT, which features DJ Quik as well as Snoop Dogg. Teddy produced and Taja Riley co-wrote an album track Teeth with Lady Gaga for her EP The Fame Monster

Speaking in March 2010 to Blues & Soul's Pete Lewis - Riley said that he was no longer affiliated with Guy (Riley last performed with the group in October 2010). Riley also said that the current line-up of Blackstreet comprised himself, Chauncey Hannibal, Dave Hollister and Sherman 'J-Stylez' Tinsdale. He also confirmed that he was working on a new Blackstreet album, though intended to release his own album - entitled 'TRX' - first. Artists he could possibly be working with for the project included Stevie Wonder, Elton John, plus his own new, upcoming acts.[3] However, Hannibal, who is currently living and performing in Australia, says he has no plans of returning to the United States or working with Riley.

In June 2010, Riley entered Encore Studios in Burbank, California to begin writing and producing an album with Boston-based band Bad Rabbits. Riley co-wrote and produced 14 tracks for the upcoming album, due out in Fall 2011. One of the songs is a remake of "I Like," which was originally released by his first group, GUY in 1988 and was a #2 Hit on the U.S R&B Charts. Guests artists on the album include Riley himself, Chino Moreno of the Deftones, and other unconfirmed artists.

In August 2010, co-executor of the Michael Jackson estate, John Branca, confirmed that a posthumous album of Michael Jackson would be released, containing work done in the previous five years with producers Neff-U, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and Riley himself, as well as work written and produced solely by Jackson himself. The album Michael was released on December 14th, 2010 in the United States.

Recently, Riley has stepped into the Asian music market. Riley worked with singer/rapper Jay Park on a track titled 'Demon', which has yet to be officially released, and produced a mini album for the Korean girl group Rania

FBI Says Eazy-E, Tupac Victims of Jewish Defense League Extortion Attempts

New documents released by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) confirm longtime allegations that the Jewish Defense League (JDL) attempted to extort rappers Eazy-E and Tupac Shakur.

The FBI released the documents in response to various Freedom of Information requests for the documents, which until this point had been unreleased.

The new documents claim that members associated with the JDL, which has been labeled a right-wing hate organization, targeted Eazy-E, Tupac Shakur and others with an unsophisticated scheme to dupe the rappers out of cash.

According to the FBI documents, unnamed members of the group would call the rappers and make death threats.

"Subjects then intercede by contacting the victims and offering protection for a fee," the notes read. "The victim and their family are taken to a 'safe haven,' usually a private estate, and are protected by gun-toting body guards associated with the Jewish Defense League."

Former Ruthless Records executive Jerry Heller implied that Eazy-E had respect for JDL in his autobiography, "Ruthless."

According to Heller, Ruthless Records hired Israeli bodyguards to protect the business from Marion "Suge" Knight, who was also allegedly threatening Eazy-E with violence, after Dr. Dre left the record label around 1990.

In "Ruthless," Jerry Heller claimed that Eazy-E liked the JDL so much, that he planned on doing a movie on the organization.

During one office visit Suge Knight allegedly paid to Ruthless Records in the Fall of 1990, Knight warned Heller and Eazy-E to get new bodyguards.

Heller said he hired an Israeli named Mike Klein to head up Ruthless Records' security, since he had a "background in the Israeli security forces."

"The effect was immediate and extreme," according to Jerry Heller. "Somehow, the Suge Knight camp had Klein checked out and realized they were now dealing with a Mossad motherf**ker who didn't fool around. Suge vanished. His crew vanished. An uneasy calm descended."

According to the FBI, after Eazy-E died from complications related to being infected with the AIDS virus, the death threats continued until at least 1996, against Eazy-E's wife and family.

The JDL, which has been labeled a domestic terrorist organization, tried the same tactics with Tupac Shakur, but their efforts allegedly failed.

Obama signs 2011 budget deal into law

President Barack Obama signed the budget agreement covering federal spending for the remainder of the current fiscal year on Friday, an administration official said, bringing an end to any remaining fears of a government shutdown.

The bipartisan deal, which won approval Thursday from both the House and Senate, cuts $38.5 billion in spending while funding the government through September 30

JERSEY SHORE'S PAULY D SET TO SIGN TO G-UNIT (MY HEAD REALLY STARTED ITCHING. LOL)

Pauly D is DANGEROUSLY close to joining forces with G-Unit -- because TMZ has learned, 50 Cent desperately wants to sign him to his record label ... in fact, a 3-album deal is already on the table. Sources close to negotiations tell TMZ, the "Jersey Shore" DJ met with Fiddy and his people in NYC last week -- where they discussed the lucrative record deal ... and also tossed around the idea of a Pauly D merchandise line, specifically Pauly D-brand headphones. Nothing's signed yet -- but according to sources, 50 wants to hammer out the deal ASAP ... before Pauly jets off to Italy to shoot "Jersey Shore" Season 4. We're told talks have become so serious -- 50 and Pauly have even started to kick around ideas for people Pauly can collaborate with. Calls to 50's people weren't returned. (TMZ)

@BLACKMUSIC365 ARTIST OF THE DAY: Patrice Rushen

Rushen is the elder of two daughters born to the late Allen Rushen and the former Ruth Harris.[1] She demonstrated her musical potential at a young age; she was regarded as a child prodigy. In her teens, she attended south LA's Locke High and went on to earn a degree in music from the University of Southern California.[2]

Rushen has many ground-breaking achievements. She became the first woman to serve as head composer/musical director for the Grammy Awards and the Emmy Awards, and the first woman to serve as musical director for the NAACP Image Awards' broadcast, an honor she held for twelve consecutive years. Additionally, Rushen has been the only woman to be a musical director/composer for the People's Choice Awards, HBO's Comic Relief and the only woman musical director/conductor/arranger for a late-night television talk show, The Midnight Hour.

In addition, Rushen was named musical director/composer for Newsweek's first American Achievement Awards, broadcast on CBS from the Kennedy Center and she served as the musical director for Janet Jackson's janet. World Tour.

In 2008, Rushen accepted a professorship at the Berklee College of Music, in Boston. The course is "Patrice Rushen: The Value of Music Education."

She also continues to play keyboards and has played in the touring bands of Lee Ritenour and Wayne Shorter in recent years.

[edit] Solo careerRushen has also achieved great success as a singer. A classically trained pianist, Rushen has spent a great deal of time channeling her skills musically. Winning a competition at the 1972 Monterey Jazz Festival gained Rushen national attention, which earned her a recording contract with Prestige Records in 1973.

After recording three albums and becoming an in-demand session player, with artists that included Jean-Luc Ponty, Rushen signed with Elektra Records in 1978. Forging jazz/R&B/funk fusion, her signature sound from the melding of these styles gave her success with a string of Top Ten R&B hits, including "Haven't You Heard," "Forget Me Nots," "Feels So Real," "Watch Out," "You Remind Me," and "Never Gonna Give You Up" from her first five solo albums (Patrice, Pizzazz, Posh, Straight From the Heart, and Now). Rushen guested on Soul Train, where she performed her single "I Need Your Love" in 1981. She also penned the opening theme for The Steve Harvey Show. Her mentor and friend is Quincy Jones. Rushen also plays multiple instruments including the flute, clarinet and various kinds of percussion.

Uncle Luke 4 Mayor!!

Once-controversial 2 Live Crew leader Luther Campbell is one of 12 hopefuls who’ve filed the necessary paperwork to run for mayor in Miami-Dade County. “My major hurdle is people taking me seriously, a lot of people think this is a joke,” Campbell told a crowd in Miami Beach. “I call it a banana republic and I’m serious about it. You look at the commission and they make their own rules as they go, regardless of what the county attorney says, they make their own rules, just do what they want. They have no respect for the people.”

I'VE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE BLACKS

@BLACKMUSIC365 ARTIST OF THE DAY: Donny Hathaway

At first, Hathaway worked as songwriter, session musician and producer. Working first at Chicago's Twinight Records, he later did the arrangements for hits by The Unifics, ("Court of Love" and "The Beginning Of My End") and took part in projects by The Staple Singers, Jerry Butler, Aretha Franklin, The Impressions and Curtis Mayfield. After becoming a "house producer" for Mayfield's label, Curtom Records, he started recording there as a member of The Mayfield Singers. He recorded his first single under his own name in 1969, a duet with singer June Conquest called "I Thank You Baby". They also recorded the duet "Just Another Reason", released as the b-side. Former Cleveland Browns president Bill Futterer, a college student who promoted Curtom in the southeast in 1968 and 1969, was befriended by Hathaway and has cited Hathaway's influence on his later projects.

That year, Hathaway signed to Atco Records after being spotted for the label by producer/musician King Curtis at a trade convention. He released his first single of note, "The Ghetto, Pt. 1", which he co-wrote with former Howard roommate Leroy Hutson, who became a performer, writer and producer with Curtom. The track appeared the following year on his critically acclaimed debut LP, Everything Is Everything, which he co-produced with Ric Powell while also arranging all the cuts.

His second LP, Donny Hathaway, was also a success, but it was an album of duets with former Howard University classmate and label mate Roberta Flack that established him, especially on the pop charts. The album was both a critical and commercial success, including the Ralph MacDonald-penned track "Where Is The Love", which proved to be not only an R&B success, but also scored Top Five on the pop Hot 100.[2] The album also included a number of other covers, including versions of Carole King's "You've Got a Friend", "Baby I Love You", originally a hit for Aretha Franklin and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling".

Donny Hathaway is also known as the co-composer and performer of the Christmas standard, “This Christmas.” The song, released in 1970, has become a holiday staple and is often used in movies, television and in advertising. “This Christmas” has been covered by numerous artists across diverse musical genres, including The Whispers, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Harry Connick, Jr., *NSYNC, Gloria Estefan, Boney James ,The Cheetah Girls, Chris Brown, and Anthony Arnett (First Baptist Bracktown's Christmas Celebration-2007).

Hathaway followed this flurry of work with some contributions to soundtracks, along with his recording of the theme song to the TV series Maude. He also composed and conducted music for the 1972 soundtrack of the movie Come Back Charleston Blue.[3] In the mid-1970s, he also produced albums for other artists including Cold Blood, where he expanded the musical range of lead singer Lydia Pense.

His final studio album, "Extension Of A Man" came out in 1973 with two tracks, "Love Love Love" and "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" reaching both the pop and R&B charts. However, it was probably best noted for his classic ballad, "Someday We'll All Be Free" and a six-minute symphonic-styled instrumental piece called " I Love The Lord, He Heard My Cry". He told UK music journalist David Nathan in 1973, “I always liked pretty music and I’ve always wanted to write it.” Added the writer, "He declined to give one particular influence or inspiration but said that Ravel, Debussy and Stravinsky were amongst whom he studied." [4]

He returned to the charts in 1978 after again teaming up with Roberta Flack for a duet, "The Closer I Get To You" on her album, "Blue Lights In The Basement". The song topped the R&B chart and just missed the number 1 spot on the Hot 100 (reaching #2). Atlantic then put out another solo single, "You Were Meant For Me" shortly before his sudden death.

Liner notes for later releases of his final solo album explain: "Donny is no longer here, but the song [Someday We'll All Be Free] gathers momentum as part of his legacy... Donny literally sat in the studio and cried when he heard the playback of his final mix. It's pretty special when an artist can create something that wipes them out." Edward Howard, lyricist of the song, adds, "It was a spiritual thing for me... What was going through my mind at the time was Donny, because Donny was a very troubled person. I hoped that at some point he would be released from all that he was going through. There was nothing I could do but write something that might be encouraging for him. He's a good leader for young black men"

Teyana Taylor being sought by LAPD for assault.

I was mistaken and thought that rapper, singer, actress Teyana Taylor was from NY when in reality she is from Tappahanock, VA, and grew up with Chris Brown who is also from that small city. This seem to be the obvious reason why she would kill her career before it really takes off by beating up a girl, who was talking mess about CB. Don't know what she said about him, but whatever it was, it wasn't that serious. Now the cops are looking for her for questioning they say. A prelude to a charge.

LET ME CORRECT THE MEDIA. (SHOW SOME RESPECT & USE YOUR COMMON SENSE)

Various media outlets are reporting that Nate Dogg lost his home to foreclosure just two days after his death. Maybe he didnt pay his house note because he was dying? (did this question come up in ur mind) Maybe he has left his quarterly royalty money, which is decent to his kids, so he was able to leave here not worried about a damn house! (read story from TMZ below)

In a heartbreaking turn of events, TMZ has learned a home belonging to rapper Nate Dogg was foreclosed on last month ... just two days after he passed away. According to papers filed on March 17, Nate Dogg (real name Nathaniel Hale) had fallen behind on his mortgage payments on his Pomona, CA home ... to the tune of $5,924.12. According to the docs, Nate hadn't made a payment on the home since December, 2010. (TMZ)

4/11/2011 @BLACKMUSIC365 ARTIST OF THE DAY: George W Johnson ("The 1st Black Recording Artist)

Musical careerSome time between January and May 1890, Johnson was recruited by two different regional phonograph distributors who were looking for recording artists for their coin-operated machines. Charles Marshall of the New York Phonograph Company and Victor Emerson of the New Jersey Phonograph Company both heard Johnson performing in Manhattan, probably at the ferry terminals on the Hudson River. Both of them invited Johnson to record his loud raggy whistling on wax phonograph cylinders for a fee of twenty cents per 2 minute performance. Although Johnson could whistle all the tunes of the day, one of his first recordings for both companies was a popular vaudeville novelty song called "The Whistling Coon." Johnson sang as well as whistled, and also was able to give a boisterous laugh in musical pitch. From this he developed the second performance that made him famous, "The Laughing Song".[5] Although he recorded other material, including whistling the song "Listen to the Mockingbird" and some short minstrel show performances done with other performers, it was these two songs that Johnson would perform and record over and over for years.

In the earliest days of the recording industry, every record was a "master". A singer with a strong voice could make 3 or 4 usable recordings at once, with as many machines running simultaneously with their recording horns pointed towards the singer's mouth. Johnson would sometimes sing the same song over and over again in the recording studio fifty or more times a day.[6]

By 1895, Johnson's two tunes "The Whistling Coon" and "The Laughing Song" were the best-selling recordings in the United States. The total sales of his wax cylinders between 1890 and 1895 have been estimated at 25,000 to 50,000, each one recorded individually by Johnson.[7] Remarkably, the New Jersey record company marketed Johnson as a black man, during an era when much of American life was strongly segregated by race.

Johnson continued recording for the New York and New Jersey companies, and in 1891 also started recording for their parent company, the North American Phonograph Company. At least one of his 1891 recording sessions was held at Thomas Edison's laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey.[8] Johnson also made appearances on Vaudeville. His repertory on stage was pretty much limited to his two famous songs, but this was sufficient to get him bookings on bills.

In 1894, Johnson began recording with Len Spencer, a Vaudeville star of the era, and the two would remain friends until the end of Johnson's life. In 1895, Johnson made his first recordings on the new disc technology for Berliner Gramophone. In addition to Berliner, Johnson recorded for Edison Records, Columbia, the Victor Talking Machine Company, the Chicago Talking Machine Company, Bettini and numerous other small cylinder and disc companies through the 1890s and up to 1909 or 1910.[9]

In 1897, Johnson recorded two new songs, "The Laughing Coon" and "The Whistling Girl". They remained in the Edison and Columbia catalogs for years, although neither was as popular as his two original tunes.

Detroit Pistons Get A New Owner (He's also trying to buy Warner Music Group)

Tom Gores has bought another once-proud but recently struggling operation. The Detroit Pistons announced Friday that the billionaire from Beverly Hills has agreed to buy the struggling NBA franchise, as well as The Palace of Auburn Hills, DTE Energy Music Theatre and the operating rights to the Meadow Brook Music Festival. The 46-year-old Gores, whose net worth is $2.4 billion, is a Flint native and has a degree from Michigan State. "I am very proud to have this opportunity to be part of such a tremendous organization," Gores said. " I have been impressed with the Davidson family and the way it has protected and built such a storied franchise. I grew up here, I am glad to be back and I am very excited about all the possibilities looking forward."

UPDATE Pia Toscano signs to Interscope Records (I told you that her place in the game was set last week!)

That was quick. Pia Toscano, the 22-year-old from Howard Beach, Queens, voted off last week’s American Idol in a move that shocked fans and caused an Internet uproar, has reportedly signed with Interscope Records to record her debut album. Universal Music Group is this year’s musical partner for the hit Fox show after it spent the first nine years at Sony Music, while label head Jimmy Iovine and various producers have been mentoring the finalists

@BLACKMUSIC365 Artist Of The Day: Big Mama Thornton

Thornton began her recording career in Houston, signing a recording contract with Peacock Records in 1951. While working with another Peacock artist, Johnny Otis, she recorded "Hound Dog", a song that composers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller had given her in Los Angeles.[7] The record was produced by Johnny Otis, and went to number one on the R&B chart.[8] Although the record made her a star, she saw little of the profits.[9] She continued to record for Peacock until 1957 and performed with R&B package tours with Junior Parker and Esther Phillips. In 1954, Thornton was one of the eyewitnesses to the accidental self-inflicted handgun death of blues singer Johnny Ace.[10] Her career began to fade in the late 1950s and early 1960s.[1] She left Houston and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she mostly played local blues clubs.

In 1966, Thornton recorded Big Mama Thornton With The Muddy Waters Blues Band, with Muddy Waters (guitar), Sammy Lawhorn (guitar), James Cotton (harmonica), Otis Spann (piano), Luther Johnson (bass guitar), and Francis Clay (drums). Songs included "Everything Gonna Be Alright", "Big Mama's Blues", "I'm Feeling Alright", "Big Mama's Bumble Bee Blues", "Looking The World Over", "Big Mama's Shuffle", and "Since I Fell For You", amongst others.

Her Ball 'n' Chain album in 1968, recorded with Lightnin' Hopkins (guitar) and Larry Williams (vocals), included the songs "Hound Dog", "Wade in the Water", "Little Red Rooster", "Ball 'n' Chain", "Money Taker", and "Prison Blues".

One of Thornton's last albums was Jail (1975) for Vanguard Records. It captured her performances during a couple of mid 1970s concerts at two northwestern prisons. She became the talented leader of a blues ensemble that featured sustained jams from George "Harmonica" Smith, as well as guitarists Doug Macleod, B. Huston and Steve Wachsman, drummer Todd Nelson, saxophonist Bill Potter, bassist Bruce Sieverson, and pianist J.D. Nicholas.

Thornton performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1966 and 1968, and at the San Francisco Blues Festival in 1979. In 1965 she performed with the American Folk Blues Festival package in Europe.[11] While in England that year, she recorded Big Mama Thornton in Europe and followed it up the next year in San Francisco with Big Mama Thornton with the Chicago Blues Band. Both albums came out on the Arhoolie label. Thornton continued to record for Vanguard, Mercury, and other small labels in the 1970s and to work the blues festival circuit until her death in 1984, the same year she was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.

During her career, she appeared on stages from New York City's Apollo Theater in 1952 to the Newport Jazz Festival in 1980, and was nominated for the Blues Music Awards six times.[12] In addition to "Ball 'n' Chain" and "They Call Me Big Mama," Thornton wrote twenty other blues songs.[13]

In the 1970s years of heavy drinking began to hurt Ms. Thornton's health. She was in a serious auto accident and recovered to perform at the 1983 Newport Jazz Festival with Muddy Waters, B. B. King, and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, a recording of which is called The Blues—A Real Summit Meeting on Buddha Records. Ms. Thornton died of a heart attack in Los Angeles on July 25, 1984, at age 57

Are they worth the fee?

In todays society, where Reality TV shows are drawing in a lot of the viewers, and ratings, the stand outs of these shows are cashing in with club appearances, autograph signings at retail, book deals, runoff shows, and now college speaking events. Is this a generation of people being nosey, or the want for more reality in the media? We all have our pick of reality shows we like, and in those shows we have the characters that stand out to everyone watching. Either cause they are loud, crazy, a bully, sexy, etc. Whatever it is they keep our attention on them for most of the show. The question is are these reality TV stars worth the high prices for us to see them in person? Snooki from Jersey Shore was paid $32,000 dollars to speak at Rutgers University, which is more than alot of known artist get for shows. Is this the new way to get the American Dream? Or is it media showing us they can control a lot more than we think?

Hotel employee that Labron's mother slapped says he too shook to go to work. Next comes the lawsuit.

Jay Z's visit to NCAA men's team after game cost NJ Nets 50k

When Hova hit the locker room of Kentucky's mens basketball team it caused a little problem because he is part owner of the New Jersey Nets. Its against NBA rules for any team personel to have these close interactions with un drafted players. It has to be a equal level up until the draft, and when Jay Z met with these players of the Hip Hop generation, it could seem to be a recruiting stunt, which is wrong on all levels if true. I think he was at home and just went to visit these cats there were balling that game. I do wonder if this will have an affect on other entertainment stars, and or execs buying into professional teams.

UPDATE Congress makes a short term bill to extend the deadline for a shutdown for at least one week.

Congress is currently hard at work (So they say. Lol)in order to stop the shutdown of the US Government, which will mean a lot of Federally funded parks, military families of soldiers that died in battle (#JUSTWRONG)Guess what though? Congress still gets paid of course....

Funkmaster Flex's wife calls it quits. WONDER WHY?

Funkmaster Flex's wife put the news out there that they are no longer together. Happens all the time these days you say? Funny it happened the day after the Mister Cee scandal went haywire on the airwaves. Its everywhere. I still wont be a part of dragging Biggie down with the BS they are saying about him. No good can come of this because not everyone is a little dude like DJ Envy, and or Charlamagne. What if your out rocking the club Flex or Cee, and some serious dudes that like girls ONLY are drinking and talking smack. {BACKDOOR!!! No pun intended}

Warriors Beat The Lakers!! If only we did this more we would be in the Playoffs. SMH

Monta Ellis scored 26 points, David Lee had 22 points and 17 rebounds, and the Golden State Warriors held on to beat the suddenly sluggish Los Angeles Lakers 95-87 on Wednesday night. Stephen Curry added 20 points, six rebounds and five assists to help the Warriors build a 19-point lead in their third straight victory -- all against playoff-bound teams. They have beaten Dallas, Portland and Los Angeles in perhaps their best stretch of wins all season. Kobe Bryant had 25 points and Pau Gasol scored 18 for the Lakers, who lost for the second consecutive night to an inferior opponent. Bryant brought the Lakers within eight points in a frantic rally in the fourth quarter, but all that did was make the final score seem close. A night after a lazy loss at home to the depleted Utah Jazz, the Lakers might have played even worse in ending any chance of earning the top seed in the Western Conference. San Antonio's victory over Sacramento, combined with the Lakers' loss, gave the Spurs home-court advantage throughout the West playoffs. The Lakers were in constant confusion and made mistake after mistake -- often in glaring fashion -- with Bryant shouting at teammates seemingly after every one. Some passes went into the stands, shots weren't falling and there was little hustle. Not exactly the kind of performances the two-time defending champions wanted in the home stretch of the regular season. The Warriors, who handed out "Beat LA!" posters to every fan, withstood Bryant's burst in the first quarter that put Los Angeles ahead by 12 points early. Instead, it was Golden State that controlled most of the first half with solid performances on both ends of the court. Curry even added some flair with a half-court underhand pass to Al Thornton during a run that pushed Golden State's lead to seven in the second quarter. The Lakers scored the first six points of the third quarter only to watch another hot start evaporate. Dorell Wright hit a 3-pointer -- and another one in the fourth to finish with 185 on the season -- to break Jason Richardson's club record of 183 set in the 2005-06 season. Ellis and Curry also added jumpers, and Golden State went ahead 72-55 after three quarters. The lead was big enough that Lakers coach Phil Jackson didn't even bring Bryant in the game until a little more than 6 minutes left. He sat along with Ron Artest and Derek Fisher for heavy minutes watching another miserable late-season defeat, and by the time they returned, it was far too late.

"FAT LIKE ME"

Great cardio for me is inspired by a few great songs with the bpm (beats per minute) kinda high. First song to start it of these days is Dirty Money "Hello Good morning" The song that helped me burn the pounds for real was Chris Brown's "Forever." See I used my love for music to help guide me to my goals in the gym. I used to love food to the extreme, so in order to do what I had to do, I HAD TO HATE FOOD. The love for music guided me to see my dream of being in the music industry. I used to watch videos, and award shows in the 80's, and knew I was gonna be involved in some major way!! I knew every song on radio since I was 3 (1977), and now I get paid for that love of music & radio. See it was music that was my true friend, and not the food. Part of my healing is me being able to share my story to the world. From sneaking food, and hiding it as a kid to just eating the right things cause I have to is where I am now in life, but the one true passion never left. "MUSIC" Thank you Uncle Natie for showing me how to write a song at 5 years old, and to my family that made us kids have family talent shows way back then. "I LOVE YOU" - FAT LIKE ME (A Book To Inspire, Motivate, Uplift, and Encourage written by Keith T. Barham) Shot out to every child going thru childhood obesity. I know Dr. Oz, and or every other person thats been skinny their whole life cant reach you, nor can the person that paid/used their health insurance to do it reach u. WE WILL DO IT TOGETHER THE RIGHT WAY (work for it), SO THAT WE KNOW HOW TO LIVE HEALTHIER LIVES FROM HERE ON OUT.

WHAT PART OF A INSTITUTION FOR HIGHER LEARNING MEANS PAYING "SNOOKI" $32,000 TO SPEAK TO STUDENTS?

I dont really watch Jersey shore a lot, but when I do catch it, I dont see anywhere in Snooki that would want her speaking to my child in college. Let's be honest she is basically selling sex with her image. Ok sex is cool with me definitely, but in a economy, where schools are losing teachers, and some cities even losing their schools all together, why would Rutgers University pay her $32,000, and more importantly WHY would they allow her to speak to these students, who are already above the curve because they chose to get a college education? She said go to class, but party even harder! That doesn't equate to me having gone to college, and understanding that you just dont have the time to do that much partying if you want to succeed. For this move I say Rutgers is doing like their football team since Ray Rice left the building #FAILING.

I NEED BOTH THE PLAYERS & OWNERS TO IRON THIS S*** OUT!

I dont wanna go without football. Im not as good in Madden anymore because Im just too busy to play all the time, so I along with all the other fans of the NFL, need y'all to iron it out!!
